Super Power
Creating bucket-list adventures & connecting with adolescents
I began guiding outdoor adventure programs in the summer of 1998. From half-acre islands off the coast of Maine, to million+ acre wilderness areas in the expanses of the Western United States, there are few environments with which I am not familiar. My favorite adventures include backpacking in Patagonia, climbing 14,000′ peaks in Colorado, snorkeling in Belize, going deep into Utah’s canyons, kayaking to Maine’s tiny islands, and surfing in Mexico.
In 1996, I became a certified Wilderness First Responder through the North Carolina Outward Bound School, and added EMT training in 2008. I hold a B.A. from Prescott College in Outdoor Experiential Education, and international certification in Secondary Montessori Education.
I have given keynote addresses on the importance of having audacious goals, and how those goals create habits in us that lead us to living bigger lives on a daily basis.
